Score: 0
There isn't an expiration on the free plan. You're just subject to the limits of it. If you're ok with those limits, you can use the free account idefinitely, to my knowledge.
The one thing I don't know, and I've never tested this, is if you subscribe and exceed the limits of the free plan and then you cancel your subscription, what happens to the stuff that's no longer supported. For example, with the Free plan, I can have up to 10 folders and up to 30 items per List. If I upgrade to Standard, I can have unlimited folders and up to 100 items per List. If I create 50 folders and 100 items in a List and then cancel my standard subscription to return to the free plan, what happens to the 40 folders and 70 List items that I'm no longer entitled to? I suspect you don't lose access to those items, but you can't create anything new until you bring them back down below the new limit, but that's just a guess on my part based on how some other products handle such things. EDIT: Actually, I found this, which answers my question: https://www.toodledo.com/info/help.php#61 This message was edited Mar 28, 2026. |

Posted Mar 08, 2026 in: How to delete multiple tasks at once
Score: 0
I may not be understanding your need, but if you already found the Batch Edit option, all you have to do is find the entry at the bottom of the list that says "Don't delete". Click the Slider to activate the control and click the dropdown to select "Delete Task". When you click Save, it should delete everything in your current search result.

I haven't seen any chatter about the extensions, and they're not particularly forthcoming about what's in the pipeline, though there is a roadmap here:
https://toodledo.canny.io/ Specifically, there's an item about extensions here: https://toodledo.canny.io/feature-requests/p/browser-extensions It was marked as "Planned", but that was back in 2018, so who knows?? There is a user-created extension referenced in the comments that they claim works great, so if you're feeling adventurous, it might be worth checking out. Meanwhile, it is possible to forward emails directly to Toodledo. I use it occasionally and it works pretty well once you're used to the encoding markup or you're happy with the "new task defaults". However, it's only for paid subscribers. You can find reference to it here: https://www.toodledo.com/subscribe/index.php |

To my knowledge, there aren't any 3rd party products that integrate with Toodledo. Especially ones that would offer offline support.
There was a product called Ultimate Todo, which IMO, was amazing, but it went dark last year due to lack of financial support, and I don't think it offered a Windows desktop app. I guess in theory, you could run it in an Android emulator, and I know the apk is still out there for now, but the more time passes without active updates, the more buggy and unreliable it will be. "Your mileage will vary". Hopefully I'm wrong and someone points us toward some amazing product I've never seen. |

id like anything new to just have a duedate of today or tomorrow, then i'll see it today or tomorrow and can adjust if necessary? You can set a default due date I'm in the browser for this: -Expand the menu at top right -Go to Profile & Settings under My Account -General settings tab -Find New Task Defaults under the Tasks section and click Edit -Select the drop-down for due date and you can set it for today or you can choose tomorrow Now new tasks should have this new date set by default. |

driving me crazy trying to clear the sort in one of my lists. How do you do it??? Don't you just set them all to Auto? Is it possible to say "No Sort"? I don't know what "Auto" even means. |

Score: 1
On Oct 7, my Samsung Galaxy S23 received an update to S911USQU6EYI7. It says support for Android 16 and One UI 8.0. Ever since that update, the Next Gen Toodledo app has been crashing very frequently. The Device Care app continues alerting me to the fact that this app is crashing often and it recommends putting it into Deep Sleep to help the phone run smoothly.
The Toodledo Mobile App says Version 1.0.5 and the Google Play Store entry for it says last updated 10/10/2024, so I clearly have the "latest and greatest". Is this a known thing and is anything being done about it? The app is not usable as it won't even refresh without crashing. This message was edited Oct 09, 2025. |

I see but I need every 3 months non every 4 months (quarterly). Thanks ?? Quarterly is every three months. Literally one quarter of a year. A year is 12 months and one quarter of 12 is 3. Quarterly is only 4 months if your year is 16 months long... This message was edited Jun 22, 2025. |

No widgets in next Gen apps. I *think* it's planned but not yet implemented, but I haven't seen any updates on this in a while. I'm also a big fan of the widgets. Used a 3rd party but was too hard to keep them in sync.

Posted Jun 11, 2025 in: "No Context" option in Filter settings on Next Gen apps
Score: 0
I have used Toodledo for many years, and I heavily use Context Filters, for example, when flipping from work to personal. In the legacy apps, and in the Web UI, the filters include No Context, so for example, if I "select all", it shows me every task. I can then uncheck 'work' to see everything but work tasks. then when I leave work, I can hit Invert and it reverses it, showing only Work tasks. However, the Next Gen apps don't include "No Context." That means if I chose any context, or even ALL contexts, it effectively filters out all tasks that don't have a Context and there's no way to tell it to show only checked PLUS anything without Context assigned.
This makes Context filtering unreliable. The workaround is I have to ensure every task in my account is assigned a Context (best practice anyway, sure, but if I make a mistake, I'll never know), even if I have to create a new Context called "No Context" and make sure that's the default value for new tasks. I marked this as a Bug because this is functionality that used to exist in the legacy apps, and still exists on the web portal, but has been overlooked (?) in the next gen app. Appreciate your thoughts on this! |

...but always used Ultimate To Do List with sync so I could use their widgets, and some other features (like nagging reminders). I've done the same ever since I learned of this app. Plus this app was supported on my Amazon Fire tablet and Samsung watch, so it was great, but this is going away, so unless you want to take your chances with sideloaded apps, this is no longer an option. I love the look and functionality of the mobile and tablet versions, but the loss of Widgets is painful to me. |

Thank you for this! I have a daily task and couldn't, for the life of me, figure out why it wouldn't go away. As you said, it's no longer an issue, but man I was pulling my hair out for a day. I'm just glad it wasn't something I was doing wrong.

Posted Mar 07, 2025 in: Web interface slow loading?
Score: 0
Hi Bob,
Not sure I can help with your problem, but I can confirm that I'm in and out of the Browser interface constantly throughout the day and I haven't had any issues with connectivity or components loading. I'm in Cleveland Ohio, so if you're in a different region, it's possible there's an issue with a network trunk or something, but if this is the only service giving you trouble, I'm inclined to think that's not the case and it seems more likely your connection to Toodledo.com is the extent of the issue. If you haven't already done so, try clearing browser cache and temp files and relaunching the browser. If that doesn't help, a tool like Fiddler can help show you if you have network traffic being blocked. Good luck! This message was edited Mar 07, 2025. |

Score: 0
I was a paid subscriber to this product and was disappointed to hear it was going away. As a result, I reinstalled the Toodledo Mobile Apps (phone and tablet), and I have to say the new Next Gen apps are gorgeous! The original apps were kinda ok, but when they switched over and began development on the next gen apps, it was a mess. functionality no longer worked in Legacy and wasn't available in Next Gen, etc. They've done an amazing job with the next gen apps and I do not miss this Ultimate To Do app at all.

Score: 1
To my knowledge, the data is not cached on the local worksation or mobile device. If you perform backups of your data, you can choose the option to restore your database. However, I don't think you can selectively restore. You basically take the app and your data back to the state it was in when you took that backup. Maybe that was yesterday or last week or 3 years ago.
I found that when I can't find a task, it's usually because I set something incorrectly. Maybe the start date is in 2026 instead of 2025, or I've applied a tag or context that I didn't expect. If you use the Saved Search feature, you may be able to surface something that is unexpectedly hidden. Keep in mind, Future tasks can only seen 6 months in the future. If you set a due date more than 6 months out, you won't see it until it falls within that threshold. That may even be a shorter period of time for the free account. I don't recall that for sure. |

In the Web Browser, find the menu on the right. It's just to the right of the list sort options. click that and one option is to "Batch Edit this list". Find the option "Unchecked" and change it to "Checked Off", then flip its radio button from off to on. Click Save. Every item in the current list is now marked Completed.
If you need to do this for some subset of the current list, you'll have to use your tags, contexts, etc. to isolate the ones to be Completed first. Or you may have to create a custom search. In the mobile app, simply long press one of the items you want to Complete, then you can select all the others to be Completed. Once you've selected all the items to be Completed, select the Complete option at the bottom. |

This is Interesting. In my Folder view (Chrome on Windows 11), the row count shifts left to accommodate a scrollbar so that, although it can truncate the folder name if it's too long, the count is always visible at the end of the entry.
